Setting up appropriate equipment P2 (a)

A tripod used as a platform for  maintaining the stability of camera. A tripod provides stability against downward forces and horizontal forces and movements about horizontal axes. The positioning of the three legs away from the vertical centre allows the tripod better leverage for resisting lateral forces. We used tripod while shooting shots next to the car park. We needed stable shots there. Also we were shooting from one angle that's why it was vital to shot all the shots without movement for putting them together later.

Canon 7D camera has better quality and we used it together with the tripod during shots on the school parking in the end of our film opening. It was hard to use this camera for the first time because of great number of additional features in it. We wanted to achieve better quality by using this camera during our production process and I think that we did it quite well.
We used different cameras to complete all the shoots.  The small panasonic one we used to shoot the shots on the sport field because it was easier for us. Also we used small camera while doing the crane shots because it was easier to attach it to the crane. This camera help us to shoot shots on the sport field because it's easier to move this camera and it's quicker. This camera also have a good quality and our shots look professionally.
We used a special bag for all the equipment to follow safety working practice and to protect the equipment of any hazards which can appeal during production process.

Here you can lists of the booking equipment and when we used it.

Following shooting script/ storyboard P2(b)

We tried to follow the story board as much as it possible to include all details which we were planning to include. Actors sometimes bring new ideas during production process for example during the shot where we introduce Nick as a main character he decided to put his hand up and make up his hair and we decided to leave this shot even if it doesn't meet the storyboard.
We had to change the football game on the rugby team and this doesn't meet the storyboard. But the general meaning of our film opening hasn't been changed.
We were not able to shoot how the girl is going out from the taxi because we weren't allowed to order taxi to school because of event which was in our school that's why we changed this shot a little bit.
Most of the shots meet the storyboard. But sometimes we had external problems which I explain in "Following production process".

Following safe working practices P2(c)

Another part of following safe practice was using the appropriate bags for carrying and keeping the equipment. It safes cameras and lenses from bad weather conditions and protect them from falling and damaging.
Once there were rainy outside and that's why we used our contingency plan to protect the equipment from water and to safe the quality of our film opening.

It wasn't hard to follow the risk assessment because it allowed us to forecast all possible hazards and it told us how to deal with them.

Following production process P2(d)

My main role in our production process was making paper work such as recce or script. Also I helped my team to work with the equipment. As this was our first work when we were shooting real video it was hard for us to get used to the equipment and we were straggled with it. But later we became more confidently with it and our film opening seems to be successful.
Our idea immediately appealed in our minds. It wasn't hard to shoot a film opening about the school life because we are students and this story is lifelike and everyone faced with loved problems in the school. Actors supported our creative idea and helped us with some specific features and added something in our story.

Unfortunately, we couldn't complete all shots which were in the storyboard because of different problems. For instance, we didn't complete the shot with the taxi because we were not allowed to order a taxi to school during the day. That's why we change this part of the storyboard.

Also we were planning to shoot a football team in our film opening but we couldn't attempt their training. That's why we were shooting a rugby team but meaning of our film opening hasn't been changed.

Another problem which we faced with is that we couldn't find people for the mass scene on the sport field.
We had some problems with many shots, but mostly we shoot everything in the right way.
For example, we were planning to shoot close up shot with the introduction of the main characters and we did it quite well with using of the appropriate equipment.
We couldn't complete the crane shot for a couple of days because of the bad weather conditions. It was hard to work with the crane during the rainy weather because it's heavy and the camera can be damaged by water. That's why we changed the dates of shooting days.
